My therapeutic work centers on empowering clients to understand their emotional patterns, build resilience, and cultivate healthier interpersonal connections. My approach is rooted in creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore their experiences and develop meaningful strategies for personal growth, healing, and change. If you are feeling stuck, I can meet you where you are and help you to find a way to move forward at a pace that is comfortable for you. I recognize the beauty, wholeness, and capacity for growth in every individual, and will work collaboratively with you to reach your goals.

I work from a cognitive-behavioral approach, as well as an insight-oriented approach. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) involves identifying your thinking patterns, assumptions, and interpretations that contribute to feelings of anxiety, anger, or depression, and challenging and replacing them with positive, realistic, and empowering thoughts and beliefs that will help you cope more effectively with stressors.

Insight-Oriented Therapy involves making connections between stressful early life experiences and the faulty core beliefs and autonomic nervous system triggers that you develop as a result of trying to survive and make sense of those experiences. You will build understanding of how this can result in emotional reactivity or shutting down in your current relationships. By understanding the "why" behind your actions and using it to build your self-awareness, you can begin to gain control of your responses and foster long term positive change.

I also incorporate coping skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills into my work. I develop a treatment plan with each client with specific goals that you will help identify. I then will review the treatment plan with you every 6-12 months to discuss your progress and identify what you want to focus on moving forward.

Payment and Insurance:

Fees are $150/session ($175 for couples/families and initial assessment). I accept BCBS Massachusetts, Tufts (Commercial only), Health New England, Optum, Mass General Brigham, and UnitedHealthcare insurances. If you have a different insurance with a PPO plan, I can also provide services as an Out of Network provider. In this case, you pay out of pocket and I would provide you with a Superbill (receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement according to your plan. For self-pay clients, I accept cash or credit cards.
