I utilize a combination of Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Existential, Solution-Focused, and insight-oriented theories to inform my practice. I work collaboratively with you to plan your treatment and reach your goals. It is your therapy and I want you to be comfortable and get the most out of it, so I remain flexible and open to your feedback throughout the process. I am dedicated to your growth, healing, and empowerment. My style is encouraging, supportive, and validating. You will find that I have a genuine and down-to-earth personality, balanced with a professional attitude.
I grew up on the West Coast in a small farm town in Oregon. I earned my Master of Science degree in Counseling at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. I have been working as a therapist in the Pioneer Valley since 1998. I hold the LMHC license in Massachusetts, as well as the LPC license in Connecticut. I am a mother, wife, horse enthusiast/animal lover, artist, and a Longmeadow community member.
I am proud to be leasing a bright, sunny office space on the first floor in the beautiful, historic, and newly renovated Brewer-Young mansion on the town green at 734 Longmeadow Street (Route 5). It is easily accessible from I-91S exit 1, or I-91N exit 49. If you would like to learn more about how I can help you, send me a message at [email protected], or call me at (413) 825-9300. I look forward to hearing from you!
